Captiva Fishing, Red Tide Report.<\/h2>\n

Thursday, November 19, 2015, Captiva fishing & Sanibel fishing, red tide is having a significant impact on Sanibel Island’s beaches and the gulf side, far\u00a0less so on Captiva Island.<\/p>\n

We’re staying away from the gulf and fishing the bay side and avoiding the red tide when we do venture into the gulf. \u00a0Fishing on the inshore side has been good. \u00a0No red tide issues.<\/p>\n

Here’s a summary of FWC’s midweek report:<\/p>\n

“… background to medium concentrations in 15 samples collected in, along, and offshore of Lee County …\u00a0FWC continues to receive reports of fish kills in bloom areas in both Northwest and Southwest Florida.<\/p>\n

Forecasts by the USF-FWC Collaboration for Prediction of Red Tides<\/a> show westerly movement of bloom patches in Northwest Florida and little net movement of bloom patches in Southwest Florida over the next three days.”<\/p>\n
